If there’s one thing we can say for sure about cats, it’s that these cute furballs are very charismatic. Our feline friends are full of charming quirks and adorable habits. As anyone who has a kitty can tell you, cats all have their own unique personalities and characters. That said, kitties do share some common traits, including likes and dislikes. A Fayetteville, NC vet lists some of Fluffy’s pet peeves in this article.

Improper Attention

Kitties can be extremely picky about when and how they like to be petted. Some cats want to be cuddled and held constantly, while others will only tolerate an occasional pat on the head. The rule of thumb here is to abide by your furry overlord’s wishes. Too much attention, improperly-timed attention, the wrong kind of attention, and not enough attention are all equally unacceptable as far as Fluffy is concerned!

Loud Noises

You may have noticed that our feline friends are, well, rather sleepy little furballs. Therefore, it probably isn’t very surprising that most kitties prefer their domains to be quiet and peaceful. Loud noises are also on the list of Fluffy’s dislikes.

Dirty Litterboxes

Cats like their litterboxes nice and clean, and who can blame them? No one likes a dirty restroom!

Other Cats

While sometimes kitties can be best buds, cats are very territorial, and are often wary and suspicious of felines they don’t know. Even the sweetest cat can get annoyed at the sight of a strange cat crossing her yard!

Water

Baths are definitely not one of Fluffy’s favorite activities. To be fair, there may be a good reason for this. In the wild, rivers and streams can be very dangerous for kitties, as our feline friends can easily be swept away by strong currents. Water can also hide dangerous predators. Of course, there are some furballs that enjoy water, but they are the exception, rather than the rule.
